The curriculum for the academic year 2024-25 has been newly organized into two distinct categories: Secondary Curriculum (for classes 9 and 10) and Senior Secondary Curriculum (for classes 11 and 12). For class 10 students, CBSE has designated a total of five compulsory subjects and two optional subjects. Additionally, CBSE has announced that the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will introduce a fresh syllabus and textbooks for Classes 3 and 6. The upcoming syllabus is presently in the developmental stage and is expected to be unveiled shortly. Joseph Emmanuel, the Director (Academics) of the board, advised schools to adopt these new syllabi and textbooks for classes 3 and 6 instead of the NCERT-published textbooks until the year 2023.
