CBSE Releases Syllabus for Classes 10, 12 for Academic year 2024-25

The curriculum for the academic year 2024-25 has been newly organized into two distinct categories: Secondary Curriculum (for classes 9 and 10) and Senior Secondary Curriculum (for classes 11 and 12). To facilitate comprehension, the board has made available the CBSE syllabus and accompanying assessments in Hindi. Students can easily access the syllabus for each subject by visiting the curriculum section of the official CBSE website at cbseacademic.nic.in.

For class 10 students, CBSE has designated a total of five compulsory subjects and two optional subjects. Meanwhile, the CBSE class 12 syllabus encompasses seven key learning areas, encompassing languages, humanities, mathematics, sciences, skill subjects, general studies, and health and physical education.

Additionally, CBSE has announced that the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will introduce a fresh syllabus and textbooks for Classes 3 and 6. The upcoming syllabus is presently in the developmental stage and is expected to be unveiled shortly. Joseph Emmanuel, the Director (Academics) of the board, advised schools to adopt these new syllabi and textbooks for classes 3 and 6 instead of the NCERT-published textbooks until the year 2023.
