The Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship Regulations, 2021 provide that a student admitted to a Graduate Medical Education Programme is not considered to have graduated unless he completes his rotating medical internship.
Education specialist Harish Butle explained this to Eduvarta saying that, in the past, medical students were permitted to do a 5-year course with three repetitions.
