Now, it’s a time to hone your various skills. Two years of pandemic had hampered the routine especially for the children for whom summer time is fun time vis-à-vis time to improve upon various skill sets.

Summer workshops/camp from trekking to drawing are now a routine. But among these acting camps for children is different and much sought after. The origin of acting, drama and theatre can be found in old Greek tradition. Now, child artists too are in great demand on various film and acting platforms.

Speaking to 'EduVarta' about this, Devdutt Pathak, who took acting workshops, said, "Some people believe that acting is innate, but this is a pure misconception. Because acting can be learnt and taught. Ofcourse, it can’t be learnt in just eight-10 days in a workshop or camp, but it’s a long process which needs practice. If children are given proper guidance at the right age, they can make a career in this field. "

Acting requires many types of skill sets that include good voice, clear speech, body language, emoting the feelings among others. Pronunciations, presentation are few of the skills that are required for it. Many actors are trained in specialised workshops or in colleges where these skills can be developed.  

Lately, the attitude towards the acting or film industry is changing, unlike a decade ago when it was seen as a platform which had very little backing from society.
