Sanjay Kumar also mentions the last date for completion of data for UDISE+ 2023-24 data is 15th March 2024
Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy and CBSE Chairperson, wrote a letter to Nidhi Chhibber, chairperson, of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) requesting her to issue suitable instructions to CBSE schools under her jurisdiction for mandatory filling of data by the Management Information Systems of Department of School Education &Literacy (DoSE&L). which open for 2023-24 data entry.
The letter mentions the provision of the Right to Education (RTE) ACT, which is mandatory for all the local authorities to maintain the data and records in prescribed Performa. To meet the requirement of the RTE Act, UDISE+ has been developed to maintain data and provide a unique UDISE+ Code to schools to meet the requirement of RTE provisions. Thus, the non-submission of data in time in UDISE+ is in contravention of the provisions of the RTE Act.
The letter read, “States are facing difficulty in filling CBSE school data in the UDISE+ portal as they do not have direct control over it. Therefore, if you issue suitable instructions to all CBSE Schools under jurisdiction under intimation to DoSE&L, it will be shared with the State/ UT for strict compliance.”
Sanjay Kumar also mentions the last date for completion of data for UDISE+ 2023-24 data is 15th March 2024 and the final submission including data verification, data validation, and certification is 31st March 2024.
