Only 32 universities registered to use CUET UG scores for undergraduate admission program

The University Grants Commission Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar today today announced the number of institutes registered for CUET UG so far. According to the data shared by the University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, a total of 46 central universities, 32 state universities, and 20 deemed-to-be-universities have registered so far for the university entrance test.

Around 100 private universities and six government institutions have also registered for using CUET UG scores for admission in undergraduate programmes so far. 

A social media post by the chairman said: “So far, 46 Central Universities, 32 State Universities, 20 Deemed-to-be-Universities, 98 Private Universities and 6 Government Institutions have registered for using CUET-UG scores for their admission in UG programmes. More are joining.”

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2024 registration process which started on February 28 will continue till March 26. The exams are set to be held on May 15 and 31. However, because of the Lok Sabha elections, the NTA might also change the CUET UG 2024 will be conducted in the hybrid mode this year to facilitate the candidates especially those from rural areas to appear for the test.
