Kokan region tops in HSC result while Mumbai division ranks last
The total passing percentage this year (2022-23) is 91.25% which is 2.17% less compared to 2021-22 which was 94.22%.

Kokan division has topped in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) results which were declared on Thursday by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. The Kokan division passing percentage stood at a whopping 96.01% which is six percent more than the total passing percentage of the HSC result this year. It has improved by 0.59% compared with the pandemic year 2020.
The total passing percentage this year (2022-23) is 91.25% which is 2.17% less compared to 2021-22 which was 94.22%. State board chairman Sharad Gosavi said, “the effect of Covid-19 pandemic is still looming over the examination and result for the state board examination.”

Meanwhile, Mumbai scored poorly with only 88.13%. All other divisions have scored above 90% in the total passing percentage. The Latur division which was at the bottom in the last result has climbed one step higher and reached the seventh position.
Science stream gets higher passing percentage
Science stream has got the highest passing percentage of 96.09% followed by Commerce stream with 90.42% while Arts stream has got the least passing percentage of 84.05%. As many as 31 junior colleges have got 0% result in Arts stream while 17 colleges have 0% in Science stream.
On the contrary 2,369 junior colleges have got 100% results for Science stream while 775 Arts colleges have got cent percent.

Pune - 93.34 percent
Kolhapur - 93.28 percent
Amravati - 92.75 percent
Nagpur - 90.35 percent
Latur - 90.37 percent
Mumbai - 88.13 percent
Nashik - 91.66 percent
Aurangabad - 91.85 percent
