If you don't succeed in one of the mandatory subjects in class 10, don't worry; know how to compensate
Students failing any of these compulsory subjects in class 10 will now have the option to replace it with a skill subject

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced a significant policy that will benefit the students who struggle with mandatory subjects like Science, Mathematics, and Social Science in class 10. Students failing any of these compulsory subjects in class 10 will now have the option to replace it with a skill subject.
The CBSE Secondary Curriculum 2024-25 reads, “If a student fails in any of the three compulsory subjects (i.e., Science, Mathematics, and Social Science) and passes in a Skill subject offered as a sixth optional subject, then the subject in which the student fails will be replaced by the skill subject and the result of class X Board exams will be computed accordingly.”
According to the new curriculum, if a student fails in any language subject out of the five subjects they take, it will be substituted with the language they’ve chosen as either their sixth subject (if no skill subject are offered) or their seventh optional, provided that he she has passed this language and after replacement, either Hindi or English remains as a passed language in the first five subjects.
