SSC introduces live photo upload app, check details
SSC has launched the 'mySSC' mobile application specifically tailored to streamline the application process for various SSC exams
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced significant revisions to the mandatory photo upload rules for online applications, in the backdrop to complaints received post-12 selection process.
In response to the challenges faced by applicants, SSC has launched the 'mySSC' mobile application, specifically tailored to streamline the application process for various SSC exams. This app aims to address common issues such as photo uploads, simplifying the overall application procedure, asserts SSC.
Available for download on the Google Play Store, the 'MY SSC' app enables candidates to upload live photos effortlessly. SSC has also taken steps to edit and directly upload recruitment exam photos to deter fraudulent practices.
Previously, there was a requirement that photos should not be older than three months from the issuance of the recruitment notification. However, SSC lacked a mechanism to verify the age of the photos. With the new live photo uploading rule, candidates are spared the inconvenience of repeated photo-taking sessions. They can now utilize the 'My SSC' app to upload their live photos at their convenience.
Moreover, SSC has recently issued updated guidelines for photo uploads, stipulating the necessity of a well-lit environment and a plain background for live photo uploads. Candidates are instructed not to wear caps, masks, or goggles during the live photo-taking process. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in the rejection of the application form.
The introduction of the 'mySSC' app and the revision of photo upload rules mark SSC's commitment to enhancing the efficiency and fairness of the application process for aspiring candidates.
