VCs will be directly held responsible for delayed results : Governors intimation

Governor and Chancellor of Universities Ramesh Bais gave a serious intimation to the Vice Chancellors of state universities. He said, Vice Chancellors of state Universities will be held directly accountable for any results that are delayed. The Governor, who was speaking at a meeting with vice-chancellors of state universities at Raj Bhavan in Pune.
During this meeting The governor pointed out towards VCs, saying that although it is required to release exam results within 45 days of the exam, most universities are excusably delaying it and that they should take the subject seriously because it is connected to students' futures.

The governor also took note of a recent incident, Mumbai University mistakenly awarding students a score of zero on a final-year BMS exam. He said that such errors should be avoided and that students should receive rapid assistance.
In this meeting Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) Vice Chancellor Dr. Karbhari Kale, Mumbai University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Digambar Shirke, SNDT Women's University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ujwala Chakradev, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Vice-Chancellor Lt. Jan. (Retd) Madhuri Kanitkar, Chancellor of Mahatma Phule Agricultural University Dr. P. G. Patil, Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Chancellor of Konkan Agricultural University Dr. Sanjay Sawant, Dr. Vice-Chancellor of Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Dr. Pramod Yewle, Chancellor of Homi Bhabha State University Dr. Rajneesh Kamat and others were present.
