ISRO to provide free online course in Remote Sensing

ISRO has provided a good opportunity for those who want to pursue a career in Remote Sensing Area. Indian Space Research Organization i.e. ISRO has started a free online course for the youth who are interested in remote sensing. This online course is being offered (IIRS) under ISTO.

Advanced Remote Sensing Techniques for Geological Applications course launched by IIRS is designed to impart practical knowledge in the field of remote sensing. This includes mapping, monitoring, landslides etc. Study material will be provided to candidates through the e-class platform. Candidates can go to eclass.iirs.gov.in/ and can login and take the class.

 For this, candidates can register at the nodal center for the training program which will be conducted from March 11 to March 15. Candidates can apply for registration by visiting the official site isrollms.iirs.gov.in. For more details, candidates can visit the official site.

 Candidates applying for this free online course must have a Master's Degree in Earth Science. Besides, subjects like Geology, Applied Geology, Geophysics, Earth Science, Geo Exploration, Geography, and B.Tech students in Civil Engineering, Geoscience, and Mining Engineering can also apply for this course.

 Candidates will be awarded a certificate after completion of this course. Students registering through nodal centres will get a certificate based on 70 per cent attendance. So, candidates registering individually will have to attend 70 hours in each session of the course. Candidates registering in person can download the certificate online through ISRO LMS.
