IISC-Bangalore introduces new short-time courses; check details

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Banglore on March 18 announced a new short-term course on Intelligent Monte Carlo Simulations and Machine Learning- Methods in Computational Structural Reliability.  This course is designed for current and aspiring candidates.

While the registration is underway and the last date to register for the new short-term courses in June 25, 2024, the IISc Bangalore course will start on July 5 and will continue till July 9, 2024. The mode of the course is the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

The new course is aimed at faculty members from engineering colleges in the areas of structural engineering, aerospace and defense applications, railway and highway engineering; and automotive engineering who need to deal with uncertainties in loading nd structural systems.

Eligibility: MTech in Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Automotive Engineering, or an equivalent degree, is the preferred minimal qualification. Although not necessary, exposure to probability, random processes, and machine learning would be beneficial.

Course Charge:

Learners: INR 5,000 + 18% Tax

Academic Staff at Educational Institutions: INR 10,000 + 18% Tax

R&D Lab and Industry Participants: Rs 20,000 + 18% GST

 How to register for IISc 2024 short-term courses:

Step-1 If this is your first time using the portal, kindly register. To confirm the email address, a verification link will be emailed to the registered email address.

Step 2: Enter your password and username (the email address you provided when registering) to access the portal after it has been verified.
Step: 3 From the list of courses, pick the one you want to apply for, then click the "Apply Now" button.

Step: 4 Complete all the required fields, including the photo, choose the level (student, faculty, or industry), and attach the letter of recommendation.

Step: 5 When you select the "Pay" option, the gateway page will open.
