New report card, where students, their friends and parents can give feedback
The new Holistic Report Card is being designed on the advice of the National Curriculum Framework for School Education
The progress book, or report card given to the students after the examination in the school are likely to become obsolete now. Now the report card will not only be made based on the grades and marks obtained in the examination, but the feedback of the teachers, fellow students, and parents will also be included in the report card. It has been named HPC i.e. Holistic Report Card.
Indrani Bhaduri, CEO of Performance Assessment, Review and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development (PARAKH) informed me about this. Indrani Bhaduri said, "Parakh, National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is working on a new type of report card. A new report card pattern has been prepared for classes I to VIII. Also, a new report card for class 9 to 12 students. Cards are being made."
The new Holistic Report Card is being designed on the advice of the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE). This report card will emphasize student centricity rather than result in centricity. This means the focus of the report card will now be on learning rather than results. This will not only help in maintaining the academic records of the students but the students themselves will be part of the report card-making process. In this, the students will be tested on a project-based skill. An activity-based test of all these skills will be conducted and each student will be scored after the activity.
The holistic report card will focus on the following questions.
Got an opportunity to learn something new.
I was able to express my creativity.
I helped others.
After completion of the project, the student himself has to mark any one of these options. Apart from this, any student can also give his vote in other ways if he wants. For this, I liked the work I did, I followed my teacher's instructions well. Interestingly, students will comment on themselves and each other after the project is completed.
