Mumbai University Empowers Students: Direct Resolution of Queries by Vice-Chancellor

The University of Mumbai (Mumbai University) is introducing an innovative initiative titled 'Kulguru Samvad' (Vice Chancellor Samvad initiative), aimed at directly addressing undergraduate and postgraduate students' queries, doubts, and academic concerns. Under this initiative, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni will directly interact with students through a program called 'Vidyarthi Samvad', scheduled to occur on the first and third Wednesdays of every month at the university.

The 'Vidyarthi Samvad' program is designed to provide a platform for students enrolled in degree and postgraduate courses at Mumbai University to articulate and resolve their academic and related issues. This initiative aligns with the objectives outlined in the National Education Policy, reflecting the university's commitment to enhancing the educational experience of its students.

Furthermore, in line with the policy above, the university is set to implement three and four-year all-faculty courses across its non-affiliated colleges starting in the upcoming academic year. These courses will encompass various majors, minors, open electives, vocational skill courses, and ability enhancement courses, structured according to the six verticals determined by the university.

As part of the 'Vidyarthi Samvad' program, students will receive guidance on topics related to these six verticals, which include the Indian knowledge system and on-the-job training. This holistic approach aims to enrich students' academic journey and equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge for future endeavours.
