Blue Bell school opened the can of worms

After it was revealed that the Pune city based Blue Bell school was used for terrorist activities, deputy director of Education Audumbar Ukirde has directed its officials to inspect the self-financed schools of all boards in Pune.
Apparently, a few days ago, investigations led by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) found that two floors of Blue Bells school was used for illegal activities. Recently, nearly 800 plus schools in the state were found to be unauthorised. A special campaign is taken by the State education department to act against the schools that have been found as illegal.

The Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) too had inspected the schools in the state and found that many schools lack proper documentation. Ukirde said, “after it was found that the Blue Bells schools are self-financed and unauthorised, the education department has taken up the inspection of various schools that are self-financed. We have nearly 200 self-financed schools.
During the investigations it was found that Blue Bells school has bogus school recognition certificate”, said Ukirde adding that we are checking with other schools and will prepare a report after that.
