Elocution competition on science day for school and college students

Pune: Giving an opportunity to give wings to your imagination, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has come up with an elocution competition on Science Day which is celebrated across the country on February 28.

The elocution competition is open for the students from class 8 to senior college students of the Savitribai Phule Pune University affiliated colleges. It will be conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University’s Centre for Science Education and Communication.

Elaborating on it, the centre coordinator RL Devpurkar said, “The students who want to participate in the competition will have to register them online by paying a fee of Rs 100. They will have to write a 1000-word write-up on Corona Pandemic and Me and have to send it online or offline to Pune university on or before February 22 in a PDF format”.

He further said, “the write-up can be in Marathi and English. The short-listed participants will be called for the oral presentation on February 25 and the prizes will be distributed on the Science day”.

“The first prize is of Rs 5000, second prize will be of RS2500 and the third prize will be RS 1000”, he mentioned.
