IIT Tirupati to start summer internships; applications started

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Tirupati has opened the application window from March 4 for the summer internship and interested candidates can fill up the internship application from 2024 online at iittp.plumerp.co.in/prod/iittirupati/internrp. The last date to apply for the summer internship is March 31, 2024.

People who are in their pre-final year of B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc/M.Sc/B.A/M.A or equivalent from any recognised university are eligible for IIT Tirupati summer internship 2024.

The departments where students can apply for summer internships at IIT Tirupati are:

Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil and Environment Engineering, computer science and engineering, electric engineering, Humanities and social sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, Mechanical Engineering and physics.

How to apply:

Step 1: Visit the official website at iittp.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the link titled ‘IIT Tirupati invites applications from eligible candidates for admission into Summer Internship (15^th May to 14^th July 2024).”

Step 3: Candidates need to read through the list and click on the button titled ‘Click here to apply’.

Step 4: The candidate will be redirected to the form to register with details.

Step 5: Click on ‘submit, and download a copy of your form for future reference.

 Candidates will be selected based on profile, and test interview as applicable, and the list of selected students will be displayed on the website. They need to fill up the form by entering details like name, gender, date of birth, category, parent’s name, email ID, mobile number, identification details, address for communication name of the department, and educational details.

The selected candidates will be provided with free accommodation. The top five students per department will be paid a stipend of Rs 5000 per month. There are different eligibility criteria for every department.
