UK flag printed on cover of Rajasthan Board workbook
Rajasthan School Education Minister Madan Dilawar has ordered an inquiry into a state education board workbook that has the UK flag printed on its cover

Minister Madan Dalawar on Tuesday instructed the Director of Secondary Education, Bikaner to probe into the matter and directed him to take action against those found guilty.
The incident came to light when staff complained to the Education Department raising concerns that an English textbook distributed by the Rajasthan State Council of Education and Training had a picture of the UK flag and a clock tower of England on the cover page of the book. The incident invoked a controversy and objection had been raised by educators and parents.
The minister said, “Objections were raised recently regarding the class 9 English Remedial Workbook published by Rajasthan State Educational Research and Training Council, Udaipur, on which the British flag was printed on the cover page. This is a serious matter and strict action will be taken against the concerned authorities after a thorough investigation.”
